7 Tips To Make A Birthday Party for less than 50 Euros ( about 56,90 dollars)

There is no child who does not adore a birthday party!

But when it`s party time, you don`t need to spend a lot of money! After all, as I learned in my first lesson of economics "money is a scarce resource" so, if we spend more on an item, we will, necessarily, less money to spend elsewhere. So, summarizing and concluding, the ideal is to make a great party without spending much. Especially because children need little to have fun!

Since I have kids, I have always celebrated their birthdays, as I mentioned in my post "Anniversary Day Traditions". And the saving rules is always an unavoidable condition. I like to budget everything... maybe I could have a future as Minister of Finance, who knows! ...

My budget is usually around 50 euros (56,90 dolars), although our parties always have plenty of guests (15 to 30) and lots of food plus the invitations and decorations.
How? I leave you here are some essential tips:

1 - Choose the location:
If you want to spend no more than 50 euros, the party can never be in a paid place. Still, you have several options.
If your birthday is in the spring, summer or early fall, you can choose to make the party in picnic park, in a playground, in a garden or even in the backyard of your home or other close relative!
In a picnic area you can use the it`s tables but, in a garden or in a playground, you may use blankets or a folding table to put the food.
If the outdoor party is not an option, you can use a gym or other space provided free by a sports club, a school, etc.
It`s important to ask other mothers and make your reservation in advance!

Finally you can always have the party at your place (indoors or in the garage) or at the residence of some nice relative!

2- The birthday cake:
An innocent birthday cake can cost more than 50 euros !!! Today there are authentic works of art cakes that worth every penny for sure but the truth is that with a little creativity, you can make a cake that will be a huge success and will attract all the attention without having to spend more than a few euros.
Truth be said that many of birthday cakes bought at bakeries, are expensive and not very tasty! Moreover, you don`t know what are the ingredients used in its confection.
A homemade cake has more quality and has much more value as it is done for you, for your son!
As for the cake recipe, the simpler the better! ... A yogurt cake or a chocolate cake is enough!
Regarding the decoration, I leave here some suggestions (some of my and others not):

3 - The snack:
To save money, you will have to make a good choice of your menu.
When I choose juices, cookies, chips, etc. I choose white labels because when we talk about colas, chips and candies  the quality difference is not significant between white label products and the others! What matters is that these days are the exception and not the rule!

In advance, you should write a list of drinks, sweets and snacks that could not missin the party: cookies, popcorn, chips and all those snacks that kids love.
Also should not miss the sandwiches and homemade jelly is a good option that  is good for health!
Of course you can cook a lot of delicious, original and affordable things! It's a matter of time, creativity and strength! I have a tradition, especially the mini pizzas and mini croissants!

4 - The decor:
The party decoration is what makes it special! Even if you choose a theme (such as princesses, Mickey or other), there are a few cheap essential elements: balloons, ribbons or bows.
If possible, compare prices between online sales, supermarkets and party shops so you can make a good deal.
Many elements for table decoration, walls, etc., you can print from the internet.
I have a lot of objects that I use in almost all parties as the cupcake tower and plates, cups and cutlery melanin. So, I avoid having to make this spending every year, twice!

5 - How to entertain children:
You can have a very fun party without party animators or other expenses. You only need to enlist the help of some adults to be able to share tasks.
I leave here some of the activities that I and my sister have performed at parties for our children:
- Story time;
- Face painting;
- Chairs game;
- Treasure hunt;
- Cupcakes decoration;
- Dance Party
- Pinata

6 - Gifts:
It's always nice to offer something to each guest.
Candies are the most obvious alternative, especially because they are economic, funny and children love them! You can divide them into bags and tie them with ribbons, which may or may not customize them with a label.
As the first anniversary of my little baby, I choose the bears theme, I made cookies bears to decorate the table and also to offer in packets. It's a funny idea but laborious!

7 - The Invitation:
This will be perhaps the most obvious saving tip of all. Today, invitations are usually made on the computer, using programs for this purpose and are sent by mail or are printed with no cost. If you have some time, we can make super unique, personalized and funny invitations!

And no stress! It`s normal that things are not so perfect as you would like to be and, sometimes, something doesn’t happen at all!

There are things that I can achieve. However, I always feel extremely rewarded by living so intensely these important moments of my children`s life!
